Editorial Rating

A stripped-down connect-and-merge gem puzzler: dragging a line between two matching neighbours fuses them into the next stone, the black preview bubble above the board turns every merge into a small planning decision, and the clean gem art plus wordless glove hints make the loop instantly readable, though the tiny 4 by 3 board and single gesture leave little depth beyond chasing your crowned best score.

Overview

Gem 11 is a minimalist merge puzzle on a compact 4 by 3 board of numbered gemstones. Dark shards marked 1, purple clusters marked 2 and multicoloured crystals marked 3 rest on a dotted grid, every stone carrying its value in a black circle. Drag from one gem onto a neighbour of the same kind and the pair fuses into the next stone in the chain, while a black bubble above the board previews which gem drops into the gap. Link equal neighbours, climb from plain shards toward brighter crystals, and push the score past your crowned best.

Objective and input

How to Play

The board opens ready to play: twelve gem slots on a dotted 4 by 3 grid, a score counter with a crown-marked best in the top corner, and a round bubble up top showing the next gem. Touch and hold a gem, drag onto an adjacent gem carrying the same number, then lift your finger. The pair merges into the next gem up where you release, points land on your score, and the previewed gem fills the slot you dragged away from. A white glove pointer marks a valid connection on a fresh board. Keep linking equal neighbours to step the chain up from 1 to 2 to 3 and beyond.

Desktop Controls

The site framework maps mouse input to the same touch actions: press and hold on a gem, drag onto a matching neighbour and release to merge the pair.

Mobile Controls

Touch and hold a gem, drag onto an adjacent gem with the same number, then release to merge the pair.

On a fresh board, follow the white glove pointer - it marks a gem connection that can be merged.

What stands out

Features

01

Drag-to-merge gem chains

Link two neighbouring gems with the same number and they fuse into the next stone: dark 1 shards become purple 2 clusters, and 2s combine into multicoloured 3 crystals.

02

A next-gem preview every move

The black bubble above the board shows which gem drops into the emptied slot after a merge, turning every connection into a small planning decision.

03

Score and crowned best

Every merge feeds the score counter in the corner, and the crown line beneath it keeps your best result in sight.

04

Wordless teaching

A white glove pointer marks a valid connection on a fresh board, teaching the link gesture without a word.

Gameplay Tips

  1. 1

Glance at the preview bubble before you merge: the gem it shows will occupy the slot you clear, and it can set up - or block - your next connection.

  2. 2

The merged gem lands where you release and the new gem spawns where you started, so pick your drag direction with the follow-up link in mind.

  3. 3

Park higher gems beside their twins: a fresh 2 next to an existing 2 is one drag from a 3.
