Editorial Rating

A tidy merge-three dice puzzler: drag-and-snap placement, rotatable dominoes and a NEXT preview make every drop a small planning decision, the rival score ladder gives each run a clear chase, and fast loads with clean farm visuals keep it easy to pick up, though depth stays modest once the merge chain is understood.

Overview

Dice Merge is a portrait merge puzzle played on a 5 by 5 grid over a quiet farm backdrop. Pieces appear in a bubble tray at the bottom: single dice or two-dice dominoes, with a NEXT bubble previewing what comes after. Drag each piece onto empty cells, and when three or more dice of the same value touch side by side they fuse into one die of the next value, changing colour as the chain climbs from white through blue, pink and orange. Every merge feeds your score, measured in the top bar against a ladder of rival totals. The run ends when the grid has no room left for the piece in hand.

Objective and input

How to Play

Drag a piece from the tray and drop it onto any empty cell; it snaps to the grid when you lift your finger. Tap the tray first to turn a domino between horizontal and vertical. Place three or more same-value dice in a connected group and they merge into one die worth one more pip, freeing the cells they occupied. Check the NEXT preview to save space for the piece after. The header shows your score beside the next rival total to beat, and passing a rival raises your rank. The run ends when no empty cell can hold the current piece, and the final screen shows your score and best score.

Desktop Controls

Click and drag pieces from the tray onto board cells with the mouse, and click the tray piece to rotate a domino; the site framework maps mouse input to the same drag and tap actions as touch.

Mobile Controls

Touch and drag the dice piece from the bottom tray onto empty cells of the board, then lift your finger to drop it.

Tap the piece in the tray to rotate a two-dice domino between horizontal and vertical before dragging it out.

What stands out

Features

01

Merge three or more

Connected groups of three or more equal dice fuse into one higher-value die, changing colour from white through blue, pink and orange.

02

Singles and dominoes

The tray deals single dice and two-dice dominoes, and a quick tap turns a domino to fit tight rows or columns.

03

Rival score ladder

A header bar tracks your score against the next rival total, and beating a rival raises your rank.

04

NEXT piece preview

A small bubble beside the tray shows the upcoming piece, so you can shape the board two moves ahead.

Gameplay Tips

  1. 1

Build clusters of the same value instead of scattering dice; merges both score points and clear space.

  2. 2

Keep the centre of the board open, because dice stranded at the edges are harder to connect later.

  3. 3

Check the NEXT bubble before every drop so a domino never lands where the following single was meant to go.
