Overview

Room Design is an open-ended decorating sandbox built around one empty isometric room. Two bare walls and a plain floor are your canvas: browse the furniture tray, tap pieces into the room, drag them into place and recolor them with palette swatches. No timer, no fail state - the room is done when it looks the way you want.

Objective and input

How to Play

The game opens straight into the decorator. Seven category tabs line the top of the bottom panel - room shell, flooring, furniture, windows, rugs, decor and pets - and tapping one fills the scrollable grid below with pieces. Tap a piece and it appears in the room in edit mode, confirm and delete buttons beside it. The green check only lights up once the piece sits somewhere valid, so if a chair arrives floating, drag it to the floor before confirming. Two rows of color swatches sit under the grid: pick one and every thumbnail re-tints to preview that shade, and the next piece placed arrives in the chosen color.

Desktop Controls

The site framework maps mouse input to the same actions: click tabs, pieces and swatches, drag placed furniture with the mouse held, and click the green check to confirm.

Mobile Controls

Tap a category tab to switch the tray, and scroll the tray for more pieces.

Tap a piece to place it in the room, then drag it to the spot you want.

Tap the green check to confirm a valid spot, or the red trash to remove the piece.

Tap a color swatch to re-tint the tray previews and the next pieces you place.

Tap the speaker button to toggle sound.

What stands out

Features

01

Seven decorating categories

Room shell, flooring, furniture, windows, rugs, decor and pets each open their own scrollable tray, so one small room still has plenty to mix.

02

Place, drag, confirm

New pieces drop into the room in edit mode. Drag them across the floor, then lock them in with the green check, which stays greyed out while a piece floats somewhere invalid.

03

Sixteen-color restyling

Two rows of swatches re-tint every tray thumbnail live, and the next piece you place arrives in the shade you picked.

04

No-pressure sandbox

No levels, timers or scores: the empty room is the whole game, and every arrangement stays editable until you delete a piece.

Gameplay Tips

  1. 1

Judge each piece inside the room - the green check stays greyed out until it sits somewhere valid, so drag before you confirm.

  2. 2

Pick your swatch before placing: the whole tray re-tints, so matching a bed and a chair takes one tap each.

  3. 3

Start with big anchors like the bed, then fill around them - small pieces fit more easily once the big furniture has claimed its floor.
