A side-scrolling jaw-and-minigun rampage: 43 eat-or-destroy missions, boss vehicles, ammo-box scavenging and pepper chasing - a slow first load, then smooth arcade destruction.
Mexico Rex is a side-scrolling destruction game where a captured Tyrannosaurus breaks out of its cage and tears through caves, jungles and city streets with a minigun bolted to its head. Each of the 43 stages hands the beast a mission - eat every person, smash the marked targets, or bring down a boss vehicle - then stomp to the finish while soldiers, tanks and helicopters fight back.

Objective and input
How to Play
Tap Start and pick an unlocked stage on the mission map - eight per page, 43 in total, each hiding three chili peppers. In a stage, watch the mission counter at the top-left: an eat quota or a destroy quota. Walk over, aim the head up or down, and hold to open the jaws - release to bite, or keep holding to rattle the minigun while ammo lasts. Fill the quota, follow the exit arrow, and grab peppers and ammo boxes on the way. Dying, letting the truck or the meal escape, or running dry on ammo fails the day.
DESKTOP
Desktop Controls
Move with A/D or the arrow keys, and jump with W or the up arrow - the build reads both WASD and cursor keys (source-verified in the bundle's KeyboardJoystick).
The rex's head follows the mouse; hold the left button to open its jaws, release to bite, and keep holding to fire the minigun. Desktop wording comes from the source's desktop branch and was not separately playtested.
MOBILE
Mobile Controls
Drag the left stick sideways to walk the rex left or right.
Drag the right stick up or down to aim the head - holding it active also opens the jaws, and releasing it bites whatever is in reach.
Keep holding the aim stick to fire the minigun until the ammo bar runs dry; bite ammo boxes to reload.
Tap the round jump button beside the aim stick to hop over barriers.
What stands out
Features
01
43 days of rampage
An eight-per-page map with 43 stages; layouts cycle through 16 handcrafted maps while resistance keeps escalating.
02
Eat or destroy, then escape
Missions flip between eating everyone and smashing marked targets, with boss vehicles on set days - then reach the finish to bank the score.
03
A gun that eats bullets
The head-mounted minigun shreds walls and vehicles but drains the ammo bar - run out of boxes and the day ends in NO AMMO.
04
Peppers and paydays
Three chili peppers hide in every stage, and fast kills plus quick finishes pay score bonuses that save per day.

Gameplay Tips
1
Bite before you shoot - jaws are free, bullets are not, and an empty belt with targets left ends the run.
2
Aim the head stick at switches and boxes above or below you; the tutorial's BITE IT arrow marks the first target.
3
Grab every ammo box, even on eating missions - boss vehicles soak up far more fire than soldiers.
