Objective and input

How to Play

Tap 1 Player or 2 Player on the home screen, pick a hand for each side with the arrow buttons - the choices run from ordinary palms to a robot arm and a green monster hand - and tap Done to start the match. During the duel your command bar shows your current role. When it reads Attack, tap to swing your palm down onto the opposing hand. When it shows dodge, tap before the incoming slap lands to pull your hand away. Roles swap between the two sides as the exchange goes on, so every player gets turns at striking and retreating. A lost match ends on a You Lose screen offering Rematch or Game Over.

Gameplay Tips

  1. 1

Read your command bar before you tap - it tells you whether this turn is Attack or dodge.

  2. 2

On defense, tap as soon as the rival turn begins; waiting for the full swing leaves your hand in place.

  3. 3

In 2 Player, sit opposite each other - the upside-down bar belongs to the player on the far side.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of game is Slap Contest?

It is a two-hand reaction duel on a wooden table. One open palm hovers opposite another, and the two sides trade attack and dodge turns. Time your tap to land the slap or to yank your hand clear of the incoming one.

Can I play against a friend?

Yes. Besides the 1 Player mode against the computer, the 2 Player mode shares one screen between two people. The top controls are drawn upside down, so sit opposite each other and the far bar belongs to the other player.

How do I know when to slap and when to dodge?

Read your command bar before you tap — it shows your current role. When it reads Attack, tap to swing your palm down; when it shows dodge, tap before the incoming slap lands to pull your hand away. Roles swap between sides as the exchange goes on.

Can I change how my hand looks?

Yes. Before the match, arrow buttons cycle each side through different hands, from ordinary human palms to a robot arm and a green monster hand. Tap Done once both sides have picked to start the duel.

What happens when I lose a match?

A lost match ends on a You Lose screen with two choices: tap Rematch to start the next contest right away, or Game Over to finish. Duels resolve in seconds, so rematches are instant.
