Piggy Tape Rescue

Editorial Rating

Piggy Tape Rescue turns a one-tap peel into a genuine two-rule puzzle: tape layering decides what can move, and the color-pairing tray punishes careless order. Verified end to end on device — four taps cleared level 1 for a 100-coin rescue — at a steady 120 fps. The local cold start is the slowest of this batch at about 4.6 seconds, and long-term variety beyond the opening levels rests on the skin shelf and league popup rather than new mechanics.

Overview

Piggy Tape Rescue locks a pig inside a hanging iron cage, with every bar of that cage sealed under crisscrossing strips of colored tape. Each puzzle asks you to peel the tape away strip by strip: tap a piece that nothing overlaps and it rolls itself up, drops a matching colored ring into the wooden tray below, and frees one more section of the cage. Rings of the same color vanish when they meet in the tray, so clearing the board is half peeling, half color pairing. Strip the last tape, empty the tray, and the pig trots free.

Objective and input

How to Play

Look over the cage and find a strip of tape that no other strip covers; overlapped pieces refuse to budge until the layers above them are gone. Tap a free strip to peel it off, and it leaves behind a colored ring that tumbles into the tray at the bottom of the screen. Whenever two rings of the same color touch there, they pop and clear space. Keep peeling until every strip is gone and the tray is empty to finish the level. If the tray fills with rings that cannot pair up, the rescue fails, so the order you peel in matters. Early cages introduce the layering gently, then larger ones mix several tape colors at once.

Desktop Controls

Click a tape strip with the mouse to peel it; the game has no keyboard bindings, so pointer taps cover everything.

Mobile Controls

Tap any uncovered tape strip to roll it off the cage.

Watch the wooden tray: rings drop in, and matching colors clear each other on contact.

Peel from the top layer down; a strip pinned under another one stays locked until it is uncovered.

What stands out

Features

01

Layered tape puzzles

Strips overlap like real packing tape, and only the top layer can be peeled, so each cage is a small order-of-operations riddle.

02

Color-pairing tray

Every peeled strip drops a colored ring into a wooden tray where matching pairs pop on contact, adding a second rule to juggle while you peel.

03

A pig worth saving

Cartoon animation carries the rescue from a chef chasing piglets on the title street to the freed pig's celebration when the last strip comes off.

04

Progress that stacks up

Clearing a level pays out coins and raises the level counter, while a skin shelf on the home screen gives the winnings somewhere to go.

Gameplay Tips

  1. 1

Before tapping, trace which strip lies on top; peeling upper layers first unlocks the pinned ones beneath.

  2. 2

Pair colors as you peel so the tray never clogs with unmatchable rings; space down there is limited.

  3. 3

If a strip refuses to move, something is holding it down; clear the overlapping piece and try again.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a rescue fail in Piggy Tape Rescue?

Yes. If the wooden tray fills up with rings that cannot pair by color, the level fails. Keep pairing colors as you peel to leave room.

Why won't a tape strip peel when I tap it?

Another strip is lying over it. Only tape with nothing overlapping can be removed, so clear the layers above first.

Does the game get harder?

Later cages carry more strips in more colors; the second level already jumps to sixteen mixed-color strips, with a progress bar tracking the clear.

Is there a keyboard mode on desktop?

No. The game is pure tapping; on desktop a mouse click does the same job as a finger tap.
